BLING BLING, BABY!

My friends and I recently hosted a special milestone birthday celebration for one of our dear friends and I’m sharing a few snaps of the diamond inspired decor as it might provide just the right finishing touch for your New Year’s Eve tablescape.

The birthday girl is an unabashed fan of bejeweled and bedazzled EVERYTHING…so to make her feel at home we covered the dinner table with gobs of faux diamond scatters!  These are readily available at Party City and look great casually strewn about or piled high in glass containers.  The more the merrier! We also devised “bling napkin rings”

…by cinching napkins with these fun bracelets (also available at Party City).

Everyone happily wore the bracelets during dinner (& beyond?!?!) and they would make perfect New Year’s Eve party props.  Who can resist a little arm candy?  The final details included beautiful white flower arrangements by Greenwich Orchids,

and custom made “credentials” (or VIP Passes) as a nod to the birthday girl’s career in the entertainment industry.

The font we used for the VIP pass is actually a “diamond font” and the small arrow detail at the top of the pass is in keeping with our friend’s zodiac sign (Sagittarius — “the archer”).  The back of the pass features a playful top ten list honoring the b-day girl and, fittingly, the group gift -a diamond nameplate necklace- lent even more sparkle and shine to the festive evening.

So make sure you fit in one last run to your favorite party store this year for “scatters,” bracelets, boas, tiaras, hats and more to take your New Year’s celebration up a notch.  After all, you can never have too much bling!

xo,

Cath
